Update. Cassie got another tumor and died in August of 2011. She was a trooper but just couldn't beat this one. I cry every day for her. God bless you Cassie!

My family has done both -- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations on different occasion for one reason or another. Everyone has enjoyed themselves, regardless of when it happened. I think the company is the most important factor. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy Holidays!

Untitled Assateague Pony Project

We are an independent team of photographers and filmmakers who need your help to endow us the ability to craft a beautiful documentary about the rich and truly original American history of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, as well as the preservation and background of the wild ponies and the people on the islands.

Meg Wachter is a photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. She recruited the help of her filmmaker cousin, Phillip Wachter who lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia as well as fellow photographer and film-enthusiast, Tom Hayes (who is also based in Brooklyn).

Please consider contributing to our Kickstarter to raise money for the production of this unique film.

I've visited Chincoteague Island and loved it. I would love to come back for the pony swim. The time that I was there, I stayed at the Comfort Inn I believe. Loved the hotel, excellent location, and the beach. I love your blog.
